Hot Buttered Chai
I made this a few days ago, and every day since. It is absolutely delicious and my favourite afternoon treat. It is excellent for vata dosha vitiations; if you're feeling chilly or anxious, nervous or forgetful, a bit klutzy; if the skin is dry or flakey, if you're noticing dehydration or constipation, this is a way of warming up and getting grounded.
I made a few modifications to this recipe though, because I like it creamy and comforting.
the recipe calls for 2 cups of water, 1 cup of milk... I used:
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups milk
the recipe calls for 1 tbsp Chai spice... I used 1/2 tsp (as per my "Arvinda's" pre-blended instructions advise)
just a note, the recipe in this poster calls for 'chai spice'. you have 2 options in how you go about it.

this recipe is just delicious; this is also very nice as a Chai Steamer (no tea bags) if you want to avoid the caffeine... though black tea does cut cortisol (the stress hormone) by 50% percent.
